AMERICAN ANARCHIST tells the story of one of the most infamous books ever written, The Anarchist Cookbook, and the role it has played in the life of its author, William Powell, who wrote it at 19 in the midst of the countercultural upheaval of the late 1960s and early ’70s. Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Charlie Siskel (FINDING VIVIAN MAIER) tracks down Powell, now 65 and a schoolteacher, for an intimate and thought-provoking conversation as he revisits the work and the influence it continues to have. A cautionary tale of youthful rebellion and unforeseen consequences, AMERICAN ANARCHIST is a universal and all-too-human story of a man at the end of his life wrestling with his past, his identity, and the repercussions of his youth.

游客2022-08-16前面还挺正常的，讲了事情经过：原作者在他中二时期写了本后悔终身的书，并且无法收回版权。到了后面，导演(aka提问者)突然把自己的主观理念强加进来，对被采访者的提问变得misleading and aggressive 不仅片中两位老人亲口说感到offended，我隔着屏幕都想让导演闭嘴，这些明显在套话的问题让别人怎么回答？- 游客2022-08-16難道要面對一座殺人機器時才發現只有短兵棍棒是無能為力的嗎？作者夫婦倆挺有修養的
